Members of the Tuesday Group enjoying a lunch at the Falcon Inn, Poulton on 15th February 2022

Tuesday June 6th Baptist Church 7pm, Chesterton Lane, Cirencester.

On Tuesday May 2nd Abigail Waddell spoke to us about her work, mostly landscapes in oils, that she captures when out in the country. She particularly  enjoys painting skies and demonstrated one that she had captured on a recent visit to Scotland. Her warm and friendly style encouraged questions and helped several in their quest to learn more about oil painting. At the end of her talk she produced a gorgeous work in oil. It was stunning and clearly showed why she had won so many awards.
Next month on June 6th we will be welcoming Andrew Field. Andrew worked as an artist and teacher in the Middle East for many years but returned to England on 12013 and settled in Stratford on Avon
He has a passion for the natural world, especially rivers and these are frequently the subjects of his work. He has exhibited at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists,  the Mall Galleries, The Royal Society of Marine Artists , and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.

£5.00 for non-members £2.00 for members.

We welcome new members whatever their level or medium in art

A new group for Cirencester Art Society has been formed and that is an urban sketching group.

We meet on the first Sunday of every month outside the main church in the centre of town, St. John the Baptist, at 2pm. If its cold or wet we sketch inside, there's no shortage of beautiful ideas in this town!

Having said that we might meet up in different villages from time to time, sharing lifts if need be. This is a photo of our meet last month.

You don't need to book just come along,
