We look forward to welcoming Jean Turton who will give not only a demonstration of Chinese Brush painting but also an insight into the fascination philosophy and practices that accompany it. Jean was originally a potter, went on a course to learn about Chinese painting and in her own words "got hooked"

 

  A new group for Cirencester Art Society has been formed and that is an urban sketching group.

 

We meet on the first Sunday of every month (during the warmer months) outside  St John Baptist the main church in the centre of town, at 2pm. If its cold or wet we sketch inside, there's no shortage of beautiful ideas in this town!

 

Having said that we might meet up in different villages from time to time, sharing lifts if need be.
