Gouache by Barry Herniman

May be an image of train and railway

It was great to see so many visitors at our January Tuesday evening demonstration, despite the fact that it was NOT the first Tuesday of the month. This was because of Christmas and New Year’s Public Holiday. An interesting and educational demonstration of Still Life in Oils. Helen Macacz who painted whilst being very generous in giving help and information on how she worked. A great many questions from the audience were answered. The end result of her painting was stunning.

BARRY HERNIMAN, our next speaker, is a full time artist who has been painting for many years, both in his studio and en plein air. His first love is landscapes but he is just  as at home painting anything from portraits to steam locos.

Barry has travelled extensively both at home and abroad doing demonstrations, tutoring workshops and arranging painting holidays.

BARRY is a regular contributor to THE ARTIST MAGAZINE.
