CIRENCESTER ART SOCIETY
NEW MEMBER'S APPLICATION FORM
The Society has a programme of evening meetings which range from demonstrations and talks on the practical application of painting, sculpture, etc to informal evenings where members may participate in discussing their own and other artists' work. The range of abilities cover those who simply appreciate art and others who produce and sell their work. Evening meetings are held at Cirencester Baptist Church, Chesterton Lane, Chesterton, Cirencester, GL7 1YE on the first Tuesday of each month from 7 pm to 9 pm, £2 per member and £5 for guests from September through to July.
An exhibition sub-committee periodically arranges exhibitions of members' work. Some of the exhibitions are ongoing, currently at the Phoenix Surgery, Cirencester Hospital and Cirencester Parish Church. There is also the opportunity to participate in a group painting session on Tuesday mornings from 10 am to 12 noon. This is held at The Parish Hall, Watermoor, Cirencester which is at the back of Holy Trinity Church in Watermoor Road. At present there is a small waiting list, so if you are keen to join it is recommended you apply as soon as possible.
Members of the Society are welcome to participate in any of the activities arranged although, in order to exhibit, we ask you show support by attending a minimum of three meetings during your annual membership.
The activities of the Society are largely dependent upon what members wish to do and how they themselves are prepared to offer support. In essence, it is a fairly informal organisation which offers a warm welcome to new and existing members.
