Building on a legacy

Cirencester Art Society stands on the shoulders of those who’ve given their time, energy, and heart to keep it thriving. We honour the individuals whose dedication has shaped the society’s past and continues to inspire its future.

Sheila Warren – A former Chair whose steady leadership and deep commitment helped guide the society through changing times.

Michael Cooch – The beating heart of CAS in recent years, previously serving as Honorary Treasurer and also lead the Tuesday Group, as well as offering unwavering support behind the scenes.

Sian Defferary – A long-time supporter who previously designed the CAS logo, managed the website, and helped establish our email communications.

Their legacy lives on in the creative spirit, community warmth, and continuity that define CAS today.

Their involvement brings warmth, creativity, and practical support to our events and communications. We’re deeply grateful for the time, care, and creativity our associates bring to the society.

Marion Wood & Sylvia Hemmings – Longstanding contributors to our Tuesday evening sessions, known for their tireless tea and coffee service and Sylvia’s help with exhibition publicity. They’ve now passed the baton, but their legacy of care and commitment continues to inspire.

Christine Wills – A former committee member and generous benefactor who continues to support CAS by hosting meetings and offering her home as a welcoming space.

Rob Teather – Brings technical expertise to our Tuesday sessions, helping project live views so everyone can follow demonstrations with ease.
